Tonganoxie loses upset bid against Jeff West in boys game
Tonganoxie trailed by one in the fourth quarter to No. 7 Jeff West, but the winless Chieftains couldn’t pull off the upset against the undefeated Tigers in the first round of the Tonganoxie Invitational Tournament.
Jeff West escaped with a 51-41 victory and improved to 10-0 on the season.
THS, meanwhile, fell to 0-10.
Zeb Kissinger led Tonganoxie in scoring with 11.
THS now will play Immaculata at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the consolation semifinals.
