The four board members present voted unanimously for Truesdell, whose husband, Jim, is a member of the Tonganoxie City Council.

Truesdell will begin her duties immediately.

Board members said Truesdell and the other candidate, Paula Gish, also of Tonganoxie, were strong candidates.
