Obituary: William A. “Will” Hunt

Services for William A. “Will” Hunt, 82, Oklahoma City, were Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at the Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper Chapel in Oklahoma City. Burial was in Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.

Mr. Hunt died Feb. 22, 2006, in Oklahoma City. He was born Jan. 9, 1924, in Tonganoxie, the son of Edward S. and Grace M. Hunt.

He graduated from Tonganoxie High School in 1941 and attended Rockhurst College, where he then joined the Air Force Cadets.

As a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, he flew an A26 and the B26 Marauder in World War II, completing 26 bombing missions in the Pacific. He was a member of the Quiet Birds “QB’s.” Mr. Hunt was founder and owner of Aero Magazine, and owned and operated Aviation Data Services until the time of his death.

He and his wife, Carol, were married in 2002. She survives.
