The Chieftain baseball squad defeated Sumner, 7-6, in nine innings Monday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, marking the program’s first postseason victory since 2000.

THS (6-15) will play De Soto (14-7) at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Class 4A regional semifinals at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan.
