Melissa Pratt’s homer that sailed just fair over the left-field fence broke a scoreless tie between Tonganoxie and PIper.

Tonganoxie (20-3) held on against Piper for the 1-0 victory Tuesday night at 3 and 2 Sports Complex in Shawnee. During their three regional games, the Chieftains shut out their opponents by a combined 12-0 score — including a 9-0 win against Bonner Springs earlier Tuesday.
