Inclement weather postpones McLouth school district events
Basketball games and other activities scheduled for Thursday have been postponed because of Wednesday’s afternoon winter storm.
McLouth, as well as other area schools did not have classes Thursday. Subsequently, games also were canceled.
Here are a list of rescheduled games:
- The middle school girls basketball team will play at 9 a.m. Saturday at Everest, which is east of Horton.
- The high school girls basketball will play at 5:15 p.m. Saturday at Wathena, with the junior varsity game starting at 2:30 p.m. and the varsity game after that.
- The high school boys basketball team will play at 6 p.m. Monday at Troy. The junior varsity game, which will have four-minute quarters becuase of Troy’s low number of JV players, will start at 6 p.m., with varsity game to follow.
- Thursday’s kindergarten through second grade concert will be rescheduled, although a make-up date has not been set.
- If school again is canceled on Friday, Saturday’s middle school dance will be rescheduled, according to school officials, although a potential make-up date has not been announced.
