Kaw Valley League football roundup and standings for week 7
Tonganoxie locked up the Kaw Valley League championship Friday with its 21-0 victory over Perry-Lecompton. THS, Mill Valley and Lansing tied for the 2005 KVL crown.
Perry’s loss dropped it to third place in the league standings behind Mill Valley. The Jaguars also lost Friday, but their 20-14 defeat at the hands of Bishop Miege was a non-league contest in Class 5A district action.
Immaculata is arguably the second-hottest team in the KVL behind Tonganoxie after winning its fourth straight game Friday night. Meanwhile, few teams are colder than Santa Fe Trail. After starting the year 3-0, the Chargers have dropped four straight.
