Youth keeps eye on basketball

Liz Turner, Girls State delegate representing McLouth American Legion Auxiliary Post 393, was guest speaker at the auxiliary’s September meeting. At Girls State last June, Liz learned how government works at local, state and federal levels. She campaigned for office, attended meetings and seminars featuring government officials, and she participated in many interesting events. It was a rewarding experience for her and she would like to share this experience with others who may be interested in attending in the future. This opportunity is available to all McLouth High School girls in their junior year.
