Margaret Jane Stanley

Services for Margaret Jane Stanley, 76, Kansas City, Mo., were Thursday, Nov. 29, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo.

Mrs. Stanley died Nov. 20, 2007.

She was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Mark H. and Susan J. Matthews.

Mrs. Stanley was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board, finance committee, kitchen committee and mother board.

She worked for Modern Art, later name Royal Art, for more then 20 years before retiring.

Her husband, Ozie L. Stanley Jr., died earlier.

Survivors include two sons, Ozie L. Stanley Jr. and Keith A. Stanley, both of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Sherri L. Stanley, Kansas City, Mo.; eight brothers, Robert L. Matthews, San Diego, Earl W. Matthews, Boston, Mark H. Matthews, Seattle, Clifford E. Matthews, St. Louis, Jessie D. Matthews, Kansas City, Mo., Floyd L. Matthews, Tonganoxie, David J. Matthews, Leavenworth, and Claude V. Matthews, Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Ruth E. Jones, Kansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Interment was held at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, Mo.
