John and Cara Moses left Saturday, July 7, and traveled to Eminence, Mo., to see Cara’s aunts and to attend a Miller-Nichols and Underwood reunion on Saturday, July 14. About 250 people attended. They returned home July 15.
Jeff and Jenna Gillespie had a birthday party for their 2-year-old daughter, Isabella, on Saturday July 14, at their home in Easton. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins attended.
Ron Embry of Olathe was filling the pulpit Sunday, July 15, at Springdale Friends Church.
Evelyn Schwinn enjoyed lunch on Sunday with Peggy and Ed Gillaspie.
Greg and Marie Gillaspie and Amber enjoyed a few days vacation in Branson, Mo. Kimberly Schwinn went also.
Gene and Marie Hill took their grandson, 2nd Lt., Ryan Cooley, out to Red Lobster in Olathe on Tuesday July 17. Cooley is between training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland and his permanent duty location, Fort Carson Colo. He is scheduled to be deployed in September. Ryan is the son of Paul and Marina-Cooley of Shawnee.
Wayne and Anabel Knapp and Gertrude and L.J. Chrisman attended the McLouth 7th Annual Community Church Social on Saturday, July 14, at the McLouth Nazarene Church. There was a tribute to all military veterans, police, Fire department firefighters, first responders and their families.
