Herbert and Genevieve Schwinn, Myron and Jody Schwinn, Mary Barbara and Earl Allen, Susie Lane and Evelyn Schwinn got together Friday, May 25, at Montana Mike’s in Lawrence for dinner and great visiting.
Austin Knapp came Wednesday and Thursday, May 29 and 30, and spent the day and night visiting Grandpa Wayne and Grandma Anabel Knapp.
Jennie Coffin went with a busload of people from First State Bank of Tonganoxie to Nashville, Tenn. The group left May 24 and returned May 27. They had a tour guide Friday night around the city of Nashville, went on a boat show dinner, toured Ryman Auditorium and Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame. Saturday night the group went to the Grand Ole Opry.
Ed and Peggy Gillaspie and Evelyn Schwinn spent Saturday, May 26, on business in Leavenworth and Lawrence and visiting cemeteries to leave flowers.
On Sunday, May 27, Randy and Amy Schwinn entertained with a dinner and party for their son, Eli, for his sixth birthday. Others there were his sister, Emma, and brother, Wyatt, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kimberly, daughter of Brian and Linda K. Schwinn, celebrated her 16th birthday on Sunday, May 27.
Billy Schwinn, Bret and Kyle traveled Tuesday, May 29, to Fall City, Neb., to pick up tractor tires.
The MidAmerica Neuroscience Institute had a group riding motorcycles that started Saturday morning, May 19, at the racetrack near Tonganoxie. They stopped at Springdale Fire Station for a rest and completed their journey on back to the racetrack.
Marie Cook had Wayne and Anabel Knapp over Friday evening, May 18, to her Leavenworth home for a supper to celebrate Anabel’s birthday early.
Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the high school graduation of Rocky Keys at McLouth. That afternoon, there was a reception at the home of his parents, Melinda and Mark Esslinger. Anabel used to baby-sit Rocky.
Saturday evening, May 19, Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the wedding of Brandy Wagner and Joshua Niles at the Southern Heights United Methodist Church in Leavenworth. A reception was at the Fort Leavenworth conference center. Anabel baby-sat Brandy from when she was 3 months old until she was in fifth grade.
Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended Sunday afternoon (May 20) visitation for Margaret Nolop at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Leaven-worth. They stopped by and visited Larry and Mabel Tate.
Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended Bud Fowler’s funeral at United Methodist Church at McLouth on Monday, May 21.
Wednesday, May 23, Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the fourth birthday party for their grandson Austin at his parents’ home in Valley Falls.
Linda R. Schwinn and her parents, Harold and Anna Shermbeck, left Friday, May 18, for Nebraska to visit relatives and attend a graduation. They returned home on Monday, May 21.
Brian and Linda K. Schwinn entertained Saturday, May 19, with a patio party to honor their son, Justin, who was promoted from Middle School to Pleasant Ridge High School.
The Richard Parker family went to Leon the weekend of May 18 for the graduation of their granddaughter, Renee Dragao, who was graduating from Flint Hills High School in Rosalia.
