The Chieftains won their first playoff game in school history with a 3-2 win Monday in the Class 4A regionals against Ottawa at Chieftain Park.

Tonganoxie, in its first year fielding a girls soccer team, advanced to play St. James Academy of Lenexa, which was 12-3 entering Tuesday’s game.
