Mr. Bowden died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 at his home.

He was born June 16, 1953, in Michigan, the son of Harold and Faye Ellen (Timms) Bowden. He attended schools in Bonner Springs and Arkansas.

In 1975, Mr. Bowden joined the U.S. Marines and was stationed at the Eighth and I Barracks, providing White House security. After receiving his honorable discharge he joined the Indian Head Security Department. He worked as a woodshop manager at Bowling Air Force Base, in Maryland.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife traveling to see his daughter, hunting, fishing, and camping, boating and all outdoor activities. He was also very musically inclined, playing everything like a banjo, guitar, drums, keyboard and the harmonica.

On Feb. 25, 1982, he married Ava Cox. They later divorced. On Oct. 6, 2005, he married to Cheryl A. (Monahan) Logan. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his daughter, Christy Mausen, Maryland; a stepson, John Logan Jr.; a stepdaughter, Rachel Logan; his stepfather, Elmer Parish; two stepbrothers, Jeff and Keith Parish; his mother-in-law, JoAnne Wiesedeppe; three sisters: Sandra Gail, Diane Elmer and Kim Heathman; and five stepgrandchildren.
