- In 2006, then Tonganoxie High School senior Henry Johnson receives moral support from Christy Weller, right, as Debbie Jones from the Community Blood Center draws blood from him during a blood drive in the THS gymnasium. The THS Student Council sponsored the drive, which generated more than 90 units of blood. The student council will have another blood drive in the spring.
- Last April, Tonganoxie High School Student Council members Tyler Miles, Mike Fonkert and John Davis show off their blood donation bandages and stickers during a community blood drive on the THS west campus. StuCo sponsor Jessica Johnston said the drive, led by the Community Blood Center in Kansas City, Mo., was the school’s largest with 106 units, or pints, of blood donated. The Student Council provided door prizes including video gaming unit, a digital camera and gift certificates to Target and Best Buy, to a few lucky donors,. —
