McLouth’s Courtney wins league title
McLouth ? The McLouth High track team played host to the Delaware Valley League meet on Thursday, but home-field advantage didn’t do the Bulldogs much good against a talented group of competitors.
Still, the girls team finished sixth and Anne Courtney won the league title in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.34. She also finished second in the 300-meter hurdles.
The boys team finished 10th in points. Mark Stewart was the team’s best finisher for the boys. He finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.78.
McLouth’s season continues with regionals Friday at Rock Creek High School near St. George. Athletes who advance from regionals to state will compete May 23-24 in Wichita.
