MHS volleyball has 5-0 week

The Bulldogs volleyball team is rolling.

This past week McLouth High went 5-0, beginning with a home sweep of Troy and Horton on Sept. 23 that MHS followed with two-game victories over host Wyandotte and Washington of Kansas City, Kan., as well as a forfeit win against no-show Highland Park on Thursday.

At the home triangular, Kylie Shufflebarger led the team with 18 kills and nine aces. Jeri Holwick had 19 assists and Logan Terry recorded 16 digs and 26 passes.

The Bulldogs (14-5, 5-3) were dominant on Thursday. Courtney Chilcoat led the second game against Washington, scoring 22 serves in a row to start the match, which MHS won, 25-3. On the afternoon, the Bulldogs served 26 aces.
