Evelyn Schwinn joined the class of 1948 from the old Easton High School on June 6 at Pullman Place in Leavenworth. Others attending were Eugene Eileen Kramer, Virginia Meyer, May and Jim Thomas, Joe and Ute Abel, Dalores Erzen.
In the evening, most everyone attended the alumni reunion at the St. Lawrence Hall in Easton. There were 120 alumni who attended.
Herbert and Genevieve Schwinn and Evelyn Schwinn received word June 8 that their brother-in-law, Earl Allen, had died. He leaves a wife, Mary Barbara (Schwinn) Allen, and his six children, a number of grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Myron and Jody Schwinn of St. George came June 6 to Evelyn Schwinn’s home. They then attended the alumni reunion in Easton.
Danny and Linda Schwinn attended the alumni reunion and dinner the evening of June 6. Danny was celebrating his 40th class reunion. There were a number of classmates there.
Eighteen members of the class of 1946 met for a noon luncheon and short business meeting June 6 at High Noon Saloon. Wayne and Anabel Knapp also attended.
L.J. and Gertrude Chrisman of Springdale attended their high school alumni banquet and meal held May 23 at Bonner Springs High School. There were 260 alumni members present for the 1922 through 1958 banquet. They also had their children home June 7 for a visit.
On June 5, Anabel Knapp was at Cushing Memorial Hospital. She was having some repair work done. She is recuperating at home.
Thelma Farris was an evening guest of her sister Anabel on June 4. She brought Anabel a birthday cake.
Kirk Austin Knapp and friend Donna Klen, both of Valley Falls, were dinner guests June 6 of Wayne and Anabel Knapp. Donna had made a birthday cake and celebrated Anabel’s birthday.
