Rome, Shufflebarger honored by DVL

One McLouth High girls basketball player was a unanimous selection for the all-Delaware Valley League girls basketball team and another earned honorable mention.

McLouth junior Missy Rome was one of four players recently named to the all-league team.

Jefferson County North’s Mallory Grand Pre, Jackson Heights’ Carrie Lierz and Oskaloosa’s Nicole Rockhold were the other unanimous selections.

Other all-league selections were: Abby Kearney, Valley Falls; Kayla Dishon and Annie Burke, Horton; Taylor Twombly, Doniphan West; Amelia Noll and Jordan Kramer, Jefferson County North; Kelsey Herken, Pleasant Ridge; Jamie Herman, Kansas City Christian; Haley Pfau and Hailey Kelly, Oskaloosa; and Jamie Dysart, Jackson Heights.

Junior Kylie Shufflebarger was the other McLouth selection. She earned honorable mention. Joining her with that distinction were: Ashlyn Sextro, Horton; Alma Habib and Birttany Simek, Immaculata; Whitney Schwab and Danielle Trott, Kansas City Christian; and Bailey Morgan and Hana Sparks, Troy.
