KVL football report: Week Nine
District play has been sorted out, and so have some Class 4A state playoff games.
Basehor-Linwood won Class 4A District 2 with a 15-12 victory over Piper, but the Bobcats and Pirates both went on to drop first-round playoff games on Tuesday. BLHS fell to Jefferson County West, 41-27, and Piper fell at Holton, 37-21.
Meanwhile, Mill Valley edged Lansing for a Class 5A district championship, and Turner defeated Harmon to win its district.
Both MVHS and Turner play Friday in the Class 5A state playoffs.
