The accident took place at U.S. Highway 24-40 and Stone Creek Drive. Hervey Fox, 17, Tonganoxie was headed east on U.S. 24-40 when he turned north, or left, onto Stone Creek Drive. Fox failed to yield, to Melissa Sturgis, 46, Tonganoxie, who was headed west on U.S. 24-40, reports said.

Sturgis, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, reports said.
