L.J. Chrisman had a birthday party for their daughter Valerie Lafferty, who turned 50 years old on Oct. 4.

Cousins Drew Gillaspie and Kennedy Coffin were celebrating birthdays on Oct. 4. Drew turned 21 years old and Kennedy turned 5.

Lloyd and Margaret Smelser will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 8 at the Springdale Friends Church with a carry-in dinner following worship and a cake and punch reception will follow for their relatives, church family and friends.

Danny and Linda Schwinn and some of their family visited the Weston Red Barn Farm in Missouri on Oct. 4.

Fall is in the area with a killing frost in the forecast. The harvest is in full force in this area and our farmers are receiving the fruits of their hard work.
