The Tonganoxie Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event and is assembling maps for bargain hunters to see where garage sales can be found Oct. 3 throughout town. Registration to put a garage sale on the chamber map can be done online at tonganoxiechamber.org. Advertising on the map is also available and registration deadline is Friday.

Another area in which to advertise is in The Mirror’s classified section. Cost is $14.95 for 200 words. For a border and formatted text for a classified garage sale ad, cost is an additional $5. Call toll free (866) 823-8220 to place a classified ad for the city-wide garage sale.

Maps will be available Oct. 1-3 at Tonganoxie banks, Famous Stars Video and The Mirror.

On Oct. 3, be sure to stop by The Mirror office on your way to bargain shop for free coffee and doughnuts. The Mirror will be offering the refreshments as the staff says thank you to the community for being our neighbor. The World Company in Lawrence, which owns the Lawrence Journal-World, Sunflower Broadband and several area weekly newspapers, has owned The Mirror for 10 years.
