Q: When did you move to Tonganoxie, and what brought you here?
A: I have lived in Tonganoxie most of my life and graduated from THS, as did my grandfather and my parents.
Q: What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
A: Leaving my job at the National Collegiate Athletic Association after 12 1/2 years when it moved to Indianapolis. It worked out well — I’m now at First State Bank & Trust.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A: Always work hard and treat others with respect.
Q: What three things would you want people to know about you?
A: I enjoy listening to opera (I saw Luciano Pavarotti in concert), I like to sleep late on weekends and I got John Thompson (the former Georgetown University basketball coach) out of practice and had George Steinbrenner (owner of the Yankees) hang up on my phone call two times — but I called back until he would talk to me!
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I am still figuring that out.
Q: What’s your ideal vacation spot?
A: The beach/ocean.

Color: I have two favorites — blue and green.
Food: Anything Mexican .
