Several members of the Springdale Friends Church attended the funeral of member Betty Heywood at Tonganoxie Friends Church on Aug. 7.

Myron and Jody Schwinn of St. George were visiting the Danny and Evelyn Schwinn homes on Aug. 7. They had come for sweet corn and visiting.

Evelyn Schwinn, Jeannette Cole, Luke and Emily spent Aug. 9 with eye appointments, lunch and lots of visiting one last time before school started.

Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended a religious film at the Stanwood Church of Aug. 6. Refreshments were served and it was a very enjoyable evening.

Jim Lawrence, Wayne Knapp and Jim’s father picked peaches Aug. 5. A large limb fell over with a lot of fruit.

Kirk, Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended a cookout Aug. 8 at the home of one of Kirk’s friends. Lots of visiting was done. They live at Valley Falls in a new home.

School started at Pleasant Ridge at Easton on Aug. 17.

Emma Weanberg, Gothenburg, Sweden, visited LJ and Gertrude Chrisman for three days. She is a cousin of LJ.
