Soccer clinics offered to raise funds for Haiti

Four Kansas City-based soccer clubs are teaming up to offer free clinics from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, to raise funds for the relief effort in Haiti.

KCFC, BVSC, Futura and Summit soccer clubs will present clinics throughout the Kansas City area for boys and girls ages 8-14. There is no fee to attend the clinics, but families are asked to make donations to the American Red Cross at the clinics. Club staff members will be on hand to collect the donations. All donations will be directed via the American Red Cross to the Haiti relief effort.

KCFC will conduct its clinic at the Durwood Soccer Stadium on the UMKC campus. For more information on this location, contact Huw Williams at hwilliams@gcitravel.net.

Participants are asked to preregister, but walk-ups will be accepted.
