He has been on the dean’s list at the University of Colorado at Denver for several semesters and is in the top 8 percent of his graduating class.

Kuhre has been chosen to study abroad. He left Feb. 4 for Paros, Greece. His major is creative writing/journalism and he was selected for this program out of several qualifying students.

Kuhre is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles West and the great-grandson of Doris Druley, all of Tonganoxie.
