McLouth girls win OT road game

By Mirror Staff Reports - | Feb 18, 2010

The McLouth High girls basketball team scored just three points in overtime at Horton on Tuesday, but that was all the Bulldogs needed for a 52-49 victory.

MHS shut out Horton in the overtime period to improve to 11-7 on the season.

Senior Missy Rome scored 26 points, passed out four assists and grabbed five rebounds to help McLouth break a two-game losing streak.

The Bulldogs passed the ball well at Horton as three players — Terri Stewart, Morgan Drinnon and Kylie Shufflebarger — finished with three assists.

A senior, Shufflebarger led the team with six boards and scored 11 points.

MHS plays on Friday at 6 p.m. at Oskaloosa.
