THS girls show their power

By Mirror Staff Reports - | Feb 18, 2010

Tonganoxie High’s girls power lifting team has been one of the top squads at every event it competes in this year.

The Chieftains won the team title at Lyndon on Feb. 13, a week after placing second at the Bobcat Power Invitational.

The THS girls had five lifters finish in the top three of their weight class at the Feb. 6 Basehor-Linwood event.

Rebekah Adcox, Shelby Maxon and Makayla Sample were second-place finishers, while Ali George and Ashley Kotowske placed third.

Tonganoxie’s boys didn’t have as many members competing at Basehor, but Dane Gonser was able to finish second.
