The Barnet family had their picnic and fireworks Saturday evening. Those attending were Steve and Gail Fitzwater, Adam and Josh, David and Jane Turner, Jess Barnett, Tim Davis, Greg Polk, Derek and Luci Barnett, Jared Barnett, Eric Barnett, Kathy Stimac, Terry Drennon, Kipp Barnett, Marci Treff, Taylor Barnett, Chloe Barnett, Tammy Mooberry, Madison Smith, Ronnie Mooberry, Dameta Tullis and Ricky, Paul and Lynn Heskett, Michelle and Isaac, Kody Heskett, Julie Hartman, Julia Carter and Shianne, and Thamar Barnett.

Bid Sheppard went to a family get-together at the home of Bob and Sara Aufdemberge at Auburn on Saturday. Bid has written a book about her life, named “Bid’s Journey,” and copies of it were passed out to relatives. Those there were Mark Lepoznik, Amy and Samantha of Roseville, Calif., Sarabeth Rathbun of Overland Park, Linda Aufdemberge of Basehor, Jill Stean, Dominic, Isaac and Ariel, Katie Aufdemberge, Emma and Charlie, Joel Aufdemberge, Lacey and Tawnie, all of Leavenworth and rural Leavenworth.
