Sharon Lynn and Evelyn Schwinn enjoyed a sister day on Thursday, Feb. 18, with lunch at Applebee’s and shopping. Their brother Harold Steed had surgery recently at Providence Hospital and at this time is back at Golden Living in Edwardsville.
The Schwinn brothers, Danny, John, and Bill, attended an information meeting and fish fry lunch on Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Co-op Fertilizer Plant on 187th St., Leavenworth.
Bill Sass of Winchester, 101, passed away on Feb. 19. He was a resident of the Springdale area years ago and his wife was Gladys Feverly, from our area.
The Wolfe twins, Baylee and Brenen, turned seven years old on Wednesday, Feb. 24. Jennie Coffin and Evelyn Schwinn of the Springdale area are great-grandmothers.
Due to the snow storm Sunday, Feb. 21, the Springdale Church canceled church services. Several families didn’t make it to church on account of services.
It is nice to see the sunshine, even with real cold weather, and snow on the ground.
