Lindsay wins 400 at SMN
While everyone else on the Tonganoxie High track team competed Friday at Piper, senior sprinter DJ Lindsay ran at the Shawnee Mission North Relays in Overland Park.
The solitude did Lindsay well as he won the 400-meter dash, edging Lawrence-Free State’s Keene Niemack. Lindsay’s time of 48.74 was just one hundredth of a second ahead of the FSHS sprinter.
Lindsay also competed in the 200-meter dash. His prelim time of 23.28 wasn’t good enough to advance him to the finals. He missed the cut by seven hundredths of a second.
