McLouth girls drop 5th straight
The McLouth High girls basketball team closed its regular season Friday with its fifth straight loss.
The Bulldogs lost 73-27 at Valley Falls.
With a team-high 11 points, sophomore Kaitlyn Hullinger was the only MHS player to reach double figures in scoring.
Terri Stewart had eight points and Kayla Steffey scored four.
The loss dropped McLouth’s season record to 4-16.
As postseason play begins this week, the Bulldogs, who received the No. 8 seed in their sub-state bracket, must play at No. 1 seed Jefferson County North, in Winchester. JCN is undefeated at 20-0.
The first-round sub-state game is schedule to begin at 7 p.m. Monday.
