MHS boys end regular season with ‘L’

The McLouth High boys basketball team suffered a defeat for the fourth time in five games on Friday, when the Bulldogs closed their regular season with a 59-29 blowout loss at Valley Falls.

MHS (8-12) had trouble against the Valley Falls frontcourt in the 30-point loss, coach Jason Schroeder said.

Gavin Swearngin led McLouth with 14 points and Shawn Dailey scored eight.

The Bulldogs begin their postseason at 7 p.m. Tuesday, when they play at Sabetha in a first-round sub-state game. McLouth is the No. 4 seed. No. 5 seed SHS enters with a record of 9-11.
