Kids club wrestlers win medals at county open

The Tonganoxie Kids Wrestling Club had 17 medalists, including eight in the top three, on Saturday at the Leavenworth County Open.

Justin Hand and Patterson Starcher were first-place medal-winners for Tonganoxie.

Taking second from the club were Canyon Hendrickson, Eli King, Griffin Matney and Peyton Reeves.

Third-place finishers from Tonganoxie were Matthew McKnight, Justin Phillips and Caleb Starcher.

First place: Justin Hand and Patterson Starcher.

Second place: Canyon Hendrickson, Eli King, Griffin Matney and Peyton Reeves.

Third place: Matthew McKnight, Justin Phillips and Caleb Starcher.

Fourth place: Chris King and Caleb Tillery.

Fifth place: Tristen Briley, Caden Reeves and Kolton McCrary.

Seventh place: Trevor Hand and Camdon Hendrickson.

Eighth place: Ashton Truitt.
