By Staff | Mar 17, 2011

Outdoors outfitter The North Face is bringing its popular The North Face Endurance Challenge racing series to Kansas City, Mo., Aug. 28-29.

Normally reserved for the dirt, it will be the series’ inaugural road racing event.

The two-day event will feature a variety of races for different skill levels. Distances will range from 5K to 50K.

The start and finish points will be Frank A. Theis Park near the Country Club Plaza.

“We’re very excited to move the Endurance Challenge beyond the trail and onto the road this year,” said Aaron Carpenter, vice president of marketing for The North Face. “The expansion of this year’s series is a testament to the excitement and enthusiasm these events have generated over the past four years and we’re thrilled to open it up to even more people of varying running abilities.”

Registration for the event is now open at www.thenorthface.com/endurancechallenge.
