Tax assistance continues at Lansing Library

By Special To The Current - | Mar 24, 2011

Tax assistance will be provided by American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) volunteers to area residents at the Lansing Community Library, 730 1st Terrace.

This free tax assistance will take place from 4-6 p.m. each Wednesday through tax season.

For those who wish to take advantage of this service, the following items must be brought to the Library: Social Security card or statement (a copy of last year’s return with Social Security number on it will NOT work); W-2, 1009 and all evidence of income. At this time the service will be by walk-in availability. If high demand makes it necessary, appointments will be made.

For additional information, contact Lansing Community Library Director Kim Turner at 913-727-2929 or kturner@lansing.ks.us.
