Senior Tyler Freeman picked up the win on the mound, striking out five and walking two in seven innings. Freeman, who improved to 1-3 as a pitcher, allowed just two hits in the contest.

Junior Cody Saladin was the only Chieftain to record a multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 with a run batted in. Sophomore Shane Levy also enjoyed a solid offensive performance, going 1-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored.

The Chieftains (3-9) will return home Wednesday for a doubleheader against Piper. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
