Everyone was reminded of the community BBQ to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Jarbalo United Church. Pastor Larry Grove is getting some entertainment lined up. The group voted to take orders for and make pumpkin pies later on.

Marilyn Oxley read an excerpt from Guidepost and served refreshments to Frances Jeannin, Thamar Barnett and Pastor Larry.

Frances Jeannin and six cousins met and ate at Kentucky Fried Chicken Friday in Bonner Springs.

Visiting Thamar Barnett Monday morning were Ryan Siefkas, Rhiannon Mooberry and Kaleb and Madison Smith of Iola and Tammy Mooberry of Leavenworth.
