A Basehor-Linwood High School freshman earned an “outstanding” rating at a state piano festival earlier this month.

BLHS freshman Madison Howard earned a “I” rating for outstanding performance Feb. 18 at the Kansas State High School Activities Association State Piano Festival in Hillsboro.

At the festival, Howard performed “Two Ladies Gossiping” by Aram Khachaturian.
