Youth sports camps coming to Tonganoxie
A pair of youth sports camps are coming to Tonganoxie this summer, giving local kids an opportunity to hone their skills on the tennis court and soccer field.
A tennis camp, to which former pro Sid Kanter will play host, will take place June 25-28 at the Chieftain Park tennis courts. There will be two age divisions. Kids ages 4-6 will meet from 9-9:45 a.m. and ages 7-10 will meet from 10-11:30 a.m.
Deadline for registration is June 20. Registration forms are available at the Tonganoxie Recreation Commission or online at tongierec.org.
Challenger Sports will bring its British soccer camp back to Tonganoxie on July 23-27 at Chieftain Park. Kids ages 5-8 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon and ages 9-14 will meet from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Register online at challengersports.com.
