Zelma Sanders and Rick and Beverly Muzzy traveled to Sedona, Ariz., and enjoyed a nice visit with Ted and Lois Uihlein.
Evening dinner guests of Bob and Alfreda Ryan on Thursday, Sept. 13, were Kathel and Mike Dungan of Edgewood, Texas. Kathel is their daughter.
Evening dinner guests of Bob and Alfreda Ryan on Friday, Sept. 14, were Mike and Shawlyn Dungan and daughter, Irelynn, of Carterville, Ill.; Chris Dungan and his friend, Jill Braun, of Charlotte, S.C.; Ryan’s daughter, Anah and Dwayne Mance and their daughter, Sarajo, of Easton; Brandon and Bridget Mance and their three children, of Easton.
The evening of Saturday, Sept. 15, Bob and Alfreda Ryan went to their daughter, Anah Mance’s home for another family gathering.
Kathel and Mike Dungan attended the 40th alumni reunion of Leavenworth High School.
Sunday, Sept. 16, Bob and Alfreda’s family represented 23 of 83 in attendance at the Ryan family reunion, which took place at the Lansing Community Center.
Following the reunion, 25 folks, including Kathel and Mike Dungan; Justin and Shanna, Scott and Jacie, of Lawrence; granddaughter, Megan Mance, of Leavenworth; and friends, Betty Dungan, of Lansing; and Amy Theis, of Leavenworth, enjoyed cake and homemade ice cream at Bob and Alfreda’s home in McLouth to celebrate birthdays of Scott and Irelynn.
Freda Littleton, a resident of rural Jefferson County, will be the featured artist at the John Stuart Curry house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at Old Jefferson Town in Oskaloosa.
Saturday and Sunday, there will be a display of photos of area barns in Jefferson County and the history of these barns, shown in the Tibbot Building. This is a new project for the Historical Society. If anyone has any barn photos from Jefferson County (past or present) and history they would like to share, please contact Leanne Chapman at 785-863-3257.
Hours at Old Jefferson Town are 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday. This will be the last weekend of the season that the grounds and buildings will be available for tours. Admission is free.
