Kansas City Rock ‘n Bowl coming to Shawnee

By Staff | May 21, 2013

Kansas City Rock ‘n Bowl — an event to help cancer patients — will take place in two sessions Saturday, June 8, at Park Lanes, 7701 Renner Road in Shawnee.

Cosmic bowl will take place 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. to raise funds for breast cancer research and to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. The event will benefit the Kansas University Cancer Center in memory of Meghan Nachbar Fischer and the Livestrong Foundation cancer navigation services.

Rock’n Bowl started in 2012 in Lawrence with the mission to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. The first Lawrence Rock’n Bowl was successful and this year has expanded to the Kansas City area. A $33 tax-deductible entry fee includes two hours of cosmic bowling, shoe rental, prizes and drawings while raising funds for breast cancer research and to help cancer patients with the day-to-day issues they face.

Online registration and more event information is available at lawrencerocknbowl.com or by e-mail kcrocknbowl@gmail.com.
