Praeger to discuss Affordable Care Act; candidates to speak
The League of Women Voters of Leavenworth County has invited Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger to speak at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Leavenworth Public Library, 417 Spruce, on the current status of the Affordable Care Act, how the enrollment and health exchanges will work in Kansas, and the implications for change in health coverage as of Jan. 1, 2014.
In addition, a public forum to address the Affordable Care Act will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Riverfront Community Center, 123 S. Esplanade in Leavenworth. The panel will include the four declared candidates for the Insurance Commissioner’s Office. The Leavenworth County Republican Party is sponsoring the forum.
