Local Democrats set picnic fundraiser for Sept. 20
The Leavenworth County Democrats are planning a second annual picnic fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 20 at VFW Park in Tonganoxie, 900 E. First St.
Congressional, state-wide and local candidates have been invited to attend. There will be food and activities; tickets are $10.
The organization also will have its monthly meeting this weekend. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at its headquarters, 516 Delaware, Leavenworth. An optional breakfast buffet will be available for $10.
