That will change Friday.

To be more specific, McLouth FFA and Tonganoxie FFA teams will battle each other for a game of donkey basketball at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the McLouth Purple Gymnasium.

Come early (5:30 p.m.) and support the FFA fundraiser: a potato bar or chili bowl.

Teachers, principals, FFA and high school students will play games, followed by a championship round. During halftime, free donkey rides will be given to youths.

Tickets are $6 in advance. They can be purchased from First State Bank and Trust at the U.S. Highway 24-40 location in Tonganoxie, Dailey Ag in Oskaloosa or at the McLouth High School office. Tickets will be $8 at the door. Youths in preschool and younger will be admitted for free.
