Digging deeper: Beach graduated from Tonganoxie High School in 1995 and went on to attend Johnson County Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College before attending Kansas University.
She earned associate’s degrees from KCKCC and JCCC and then a bachelor’s in human biology from KU.
The THS grad started dating her future husband her sophomore year of high school. They married after her freshman year of college. Mason was born in 1999 and with the babysitting help of her grandparents, she was able to earn her degree from KU in 2001. She and her husband wanted to add to their family before she went to medical school, and Rylee was born in 2002.
She said not going on to medical school was “the best decision ever” for her family. With support from her husband, Beach was able to stay at home with the boys.
“I’m able to substitute teach in the schools they attend and volunteer in the community we love,” she said.
Beach is a Team Tongie board member and TMS Site Council and THS Booster Club member. Her family attends Tonganoxie Christian Church where her husband also serves as a deacon.
“I enjoy spending time with my family, love watching their events and taking pics at them,” she said. “In our free time, we enjoy traveling to warm places.”
