Meet-up group for needlework crafts

On the second and fourth Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. each month, the library hosts a social meet-up opportunity for anyone who enjoys chatting, crafting and sharing with others.

This is a self-guided group for more experienced individuals, although if you have questions, there just might be someone who can help you, too. Bring any project you’d like to work on and enjoy the company of others while you work. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, and other crafts are all welcomed.

New and convenient library app

The library is excited to announce a new app that makes it even more convenient and easy to access all the library has to offer.

The app, called myLibro, can be downloaded from the Apple app store or Google Play. It allows library card holders to quickly search the catalog, place holds, renew items, manage multiple cards, check out upcoming events, and even see available digital content from the Sunflower eLibrary and instantly have access to digital audiobooks and eBooks. In the future we hope to even use the app to book our available study rooms. Anyone who would like more information or assistance can give the library a call or stop by the front desk.

Plant and Garden Exchange coming the end of April

As the weather starts to warm up and you feel like getting your hands into the dirt, be looking ahead to the library’s annual Plant and Garden Exchange, which will happen on the last Saturday of April. Everything is free and can include anything plant and garden related from seedlings, divided plants, house plants, seeds, garden tools, pots, etc. The way it works is that you’ll drop off anything you’d like to share 2-7 p.m. April 28. If you donate, then from 10-11 a.m. April 29 you can come for first looks and take home something new.

After 11 a.m., anyone can visit the exchange whether bringing something or not. If you have questions or would like more information, contact Kim at the library at kimd@tonganoxielibrary.org
