Tonganoxie Recreation Commission Ice Cream Social is Sunday at Chieftain Park

A new mural greets visitors who enter the Tonganoxie Recreation Commission Activity Center gymnasium through its main downstairs entrance. TRC expanded its hours of operations a couple weeks ago and staff look to continue to add more offerings.Tonganoxie Recreation Commission is offering a sweet (and cool) treat this week with its annual ice cream social.
This year’s event will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Chieftain Park.
Residents can come help say goodbye to summer at the event. Visitors can grab a frozen treat and add some toppings to boot. Instructors also will be on hand, as patrons can learn more about TRC programs at the Rec Center. TRC also will be introducing 9 Square in the Air, a recreational activity for all ages.
