Holiday cookie decorating

It’s time to throw on an ugly sweater and decorate some cookies!

At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tonganoxie Public Library, participants will each be provided with a couple of ugly-sweater-shaped cookies along with icing and decorations. Who can make the “best” ugly sweater cookies?

Registration is required to participate and is open to adults and youths 14 years and older. Call the library at 913-845-3281 to sign up.

Kids holiday crafting day

Join us for a holiday crafternoon on Dec. 16 made just for families and kids!

All supplies will be provided, and no registration is required to attend. Starting at 10:30 a.m., we’ll have four crafting stations set up including: decorating ornaments, making a tasty snack (allergy alert: peanut butter), crafting bird seed feeders, and designing laminated bookmarks.

We’ll show youths how to make everything. Perfect for gift giving or just as a fun holiday activity! The event will run until 12:30 p.m. Youths under the age of 8 must have an adult for assistance.

Drop-in ceramic painting for all ages

Drop in and paint with us!

On Dec. 19, we’ll have two different painting sessions. From 1-3 p.m., children ages 6-12 years old can work on their projects, and then from 6-8 p.m. will be for adults (or anyone over the age of 12).

We’ll have a variety of holiday-themed ceramics from plates to figurines to ornaments. Best selection at the start of each drop-in.

There is no registration or fee to participate.
