St. Pat’s Parade is Saturday; Mirror to livestream event
The 35th annual Tonganoxie St. Patrick’s Parade is almost here, but if you can’t be there (downtown Tonganoxie) for the event, The Mirror has you covered.
The newspaper again plans to cover the event with livestream coverage via Facebook Live on The Mirror’s Facebook page.
The parade is set to start at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fourth and Main streets and head west along Fourth Street.
Prizes for best overall float, best family float and best custom car are $50, while the best club float will receive $100.
Commemorative T-shirts can be purchased for $12 at Wizard of Paws or Downtown Drugstore.
Tonganoxie’s Chapter AT of PEO also will have its annual corned beef and cabbage dinner following the parade at Tonganoxie United Methodist Church downtown . The meal is dine-in or carry-out. Stew also is available, as well as dessert.
Proceeds will help support local scholarships and projects.
